Delegation of tasks

Also in this last step, you can see just how far you can delegate and to what granularity of control you can delegate. After deciding who will receive the delegation, you must decide what will be delegated. Some tasks that are commonly delegated include the following:

♦ Create user accounts

♦ Delete user accounts

♦ Manage user accounts

♦ Reset passwords on user accounts

♦ Read all user information

♦ Create, delete, and manage groups

♦ Modify the membership of a group

♦ Manage Group Policy links

In the next section we will look at some best practices for implementing and employing delegation of permissions in a networked environment.
