Mission-critical servers should have no less than 300 MHz in CPU capability. For the most part, and especially if you have more than a handful of users, your CPU should be more than 400 MHz. You may consider equipment running two-CPU configurations or possibly deploy quad systems.
Hard disk needs may vary, but you need to configure a second drive letter running at RAID 5 under hardware control. (In case you're wondering, these are SCSI devices, which we discuss in the section "Hard Disk Drives," later in this chapter.)
