Clusterexe Command Line Program

Cluster.exe is a command line administration program, many of the commands can assist in assessing the state of cluster resources and performing cluster operations that may be prohibited because the GUI administrator will not run

CLUSTER [cluster name] NODE [node name] /Status CLUSTER [cluster name] RESOURCE [resource name] /offline

Cluster groups and resources that have been created using the command line program, batch file, can be restored easily in case of a catastrophic cluster failure

CLUSTER [cluster name] GROUP [group name] /create CLUSTER [cluster name] RESOURCE [resource name] /create /GROUP:[group name]

Cluster.exe is a companion program and is installed with Cluster Administrator. The Cluster Administrator's Guide details the basic syntax for this utility.

As well as providing a command line interface for assessing the status of the cluster, cluster.exe provides a method for creating batch files to create resource groups and resources. By using this method a cluster can easily be recreated in case of a catastrophic failure. Disk resources cannot be created using the command line program.

Batch files can also be created to exercise cluster operations.
