The DHCP Users group is also created as a local group on all DHCP servers. Members of this group have view-only rights to the DHCP server's configuration and statistical information. Other tasks that can be performed by members of this group include:
■ The ability to see whether there is a depletion of IP addresses in any of your servers' scopes.
■ The ability to see the options that are being handed out to DHCP clients, as well as which scopes have or have not been activated.
■ The ability to determine if there are issues with client connectivity due to DHCP server configuration problems or a lack of IP addresses to lease.
Members of this group might include personnel on your Client Services teams, or those in charge of day-to-day client workstation operations.
