Your consulting firm has been hired to assist in the Windows 2000 migration and integration for a company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Until the start of this year, the company had 1,000 employees, all based throughout the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Just before the end of the year, the owner of your company purchased two companies of roughly the same size that will need to be connected to the enterprise network. The total number of users when the project is completed is estimated at 3,500. In addition, each of these companies comes with various strategic partners that will need to access the information on your enterprise network. The companies that have been acquired are located in Athens, Greece, and Orlando, Florida. At this point, the buyouts are complete and some minor changes to the infrastructure have been finalized. The time has come to start looking at security.
